Post 37 - Double page spread

  1. Working closer to a 'C' grade - to be sure you get this grade read feedback and make alterations to posts (some feedback on individual posts as well.
    1. Not enough images, links or ICT - you get awarded marks for this.
    2. Double page spread looks more about EMPIRE magazine than RUN - no images or icons stand out for memorability - either enlarge the great title/graphics of run and make a feature of the blood running more or use Natasha's iconic image from her poster of the zombie - be sure the images for your poster/double page spread and film all tie in to create on overall recognizable brand image. The examiner is looking out for this when grading - discuss branding in your write ups. (Put my feedback in your blog and also get feedback (flip camera) from your target audience) put on blog as per posts listed below

  2. 3. Film Distribution post - name a film company anyway - state how they have distributed similar genres (give examples) state if company Hollywood or Independent - how would this company help with marketing - vertical integration/synergy of their company?
    4. Put your posts in order as a priority as you are missing some posts but it would be difficult for you to see which ones as your blog stands - the examiner would also expect your blog to follow a logical order:

    P4 Beats
    P5 Formatting scripts
    P6 - 'Group Work' Select best log line from group - group brainstorm of idea, protag, antag, locations, conflict, resolution
    P7 A- 'Genre' - What is gnere? From lesson given
    P7B - research into your genre and textually analyse.Create a timeline (as per AS) that shows beats of the film. At least 5 paras long with embedded films and images.
    P7C - Sub and Hybrid Genre P7D Mood board on conventions P7E - Genre conventions for your film
    P8 - 'Film Language'- using media terminology write about the different techniques that can be used to enhance your film eg editing, camera, sound etc
    Post 9 - 'Film Development' - Research into your characters, locations, conflict, resolution etc. Do you know of any similar characters that replicate yours? Can you interview them?
    Post 10 - Treatment for your film. Do this by developing your log line - 3 paragraphs long

    P23 - put each pre-production work here - ensure each piece is on a different post and it is clear who contributed what to each piece of work (eg script, storyboard, shot list etc).
    P24 - Keep a visual and written record of the production process on this post Make sure you comment on decisions and revisions made, skills you developed and how you worked as a team
    P25 - Blog all post production decisions and revisions - use screen grabs, flip cameras etc to receive feedback - be clear as to how this has informed your final product
    P26 - Ancillary tasks - Poster - see 'Collect Work' for resources
    P27 - Posters specific to your genre - discuss
    P28 - What you think makes a good poster - how this will inform your own designs - conventions of film posters
    P29 - Annotate a poster (see James Bond poster anntated in 'Collect work' add this to your post as well
    P30 - Do 2 rough designs of your poster and annotate
    P31 - Show progression of your final idea as you go about making it - get feedback from target audience, write up feedback - show alterations due to feedback given - annotate final design
    P32 - Research different film magazines-what are the demographic/psychographic of their audiences? Which magazine would best suit your target audience?
    P33 - Having decided on the magazine you will use discuss the conventions used (headings, straplines, ratings tc use the power point in Collect work on Empire to help
    P34 - Show a write up of your film review
    P35 - Feedback from target audience
    P36- Alterartions to film review and magazine page according to feedback
    P37 - Final Products
    P38 - Evaluation questions
    4. New and old script don't make any sense unless I were to spend ages comparing them both- it's your job to do this. On OLD SCRIPT - write what changes were made and why - highlight on the scripty these changes - what difference has this made to your film - better or worse - interview your target audience using a flip camera - what do they think - show how the feedback has affected your final product.
